How To Apply

Jackson Prep International Program practices rolling admissions, meaning that students can apply as early as they like. Seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and are competency-based. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible beginning in the fall of the year prior to attending (example: apply in fall 2023 for entry in August 2024). Jackson Prep conducts an English-intensive, cultural immersion camp each summer in July. Prospective students are encouraged to attend the year prior to potential enrollment (example: attend in July 2023 for entry in August 2024).

Curriculum

Jackson Prep’s primary mission is to prepare students for college. Therefore, the curriculum is challenging and broad, emphasizing a liberal arts and sciences education. The school year is divided into four nine week reporting periods. A six-week summer session is offered for additional credit. AP and Honors programs are offered in mathematics, science, English, social studies, world languages, and studio art. Classes meet on a rotating seven-period schedule. Because of the school’s selective admission policy and the strong competitive performance of its students, Jackson Prep does not rank students except for designation of valedictorian and salutatorian at graduation.

Dual Enrollment

Courses offered for university-level dual credit include: Engineering, English Composition, Graphic Design, and Trigonometry.
